What are we learning?
This week we continuing our unit on Intellectual development of Preschoolers. Why are we learning it? We are learning these things so that we can better function as children's caregivers in the future in both personal/professional sectors. How will I know I learned it? You will know you learned it when you can observe and note the observations of real preschoolers displaying the barriers to logical thinking, or are demonstrating any of the various concepts they are learning. Monday: Activity 1: Discuss preschool observations Activity 2: Preschoolers problems with illogical thinking worksheet Activity 3: Summative quiz over Section 15.2 Activity 4: Begin working on Vocabulary for section 15.3 (Write it, Draw it) Tuesday: ACT testing day; No school for Freshman or Senior Wednesday: Finish Vocab (Write it, Draw it) Begin 15.3 powerpoint with note guide Thursday: Finish 15.3 powerpoint with note guide; Brainstorm activities to help preschoolers learn each of the concepts taught Friday: Preschool Observation #3

What are we learning?
This week we finishing our unit on the intellectual development of preschoolers. Why are we learning it? We are learning these things so that we can better function as children's caregivers in the future in both personal/professional sectors. How will I know I learned it? You will know you learned it when you pass quizzes and tests on the subject matter and do well on the projects related to the subject matter. Child Development II: What are we learning? This week we starting our unit on the intellectual development of preschoolers. Why are we learning it? We are learning these things so that we can better function as children's caregivers in the future in both personal/professional sectors. How will I know I learned it? You will know you learned it when you do well on projects and quizzes related to the subject matter and be able to observe and record examples of intellectual development of preschoolers through in-person observation. Monday & Tuesday: Activity 1: Pretest over Intellectual Development of Preschoolers Activity 2: Watch video over cognitive development of preschoolers; write down 6-8 facts Activity 3: Preview vocab for section 15.1; Write & Draw definitions for each vocab word Activity 4: Read section 15.1 while taking notes over things that we don’t understand & questions we have Wednesday: Go over section 15.1 with PowerPoint while asking discussion questions & performing relevant group activities Thursday: Begin group project of creating a TV show to stimulate the intellectual development of preschoolers; will finish by the end of the unit. This week we finishing our unit on Physical Development of Preschoolers and introducing our unit on the intellectual development of preschoolers. Why are we learning it? We are learning these things so that we can better function as children's caregivers in the future in both personal/professional sectors. How will I know I learned it? You will know you learned it when you pass quizzes and tests on the subject matter. Monday: Create a game to promote large muscle development in preschoolers activity Play the games as a class Watch a video and observe the physical (fine motor & gross motor) development of preschoolers in the video Tuesday: Project: Recipe development for preschoolers As a class: Write the foreword to the book explaining the importance of childhood nutrition Work on individual recipe for children for the book Wednesday: 2nd workday for preschoolers recipe book Thursday: Review for Physical development of preschoolers test using Family Feud; Finish preschooler recipe book project Friday: Take test over physical development of preschoolers; take pretest over intellectual development to preview for next unit after spring break. |
