This week we are continuing to work on our baking unit. Why are we learning it? We are learning these things because they will help us be successful not only during labs, but also when we cook at home on our own. How will I know I learned it? You will know you learned it when you pass the baking test and quizzes with a satisfactory score and do well in the practical lab Monday: Cake Demonstration Groups Decide on Cake (Chocolate or Vanilla) & write lab plan Finish Baking Notes Tuesday: Cake Baking Lab Make Buttercream Frosting (stiff consistency) begin making buttercream flowers Wednesday: Frost & decorate Cakes; Best looking cake contest Thursday: Test over Baking Begin Grains/Pasta Unit with notes Friday: Grains/Pasta Unit Notes French bread demonstration
