What are we learning?
This week we are learning about kitchen basics such as how to measure, kitchen tools and their purposes and the math needed to double and halve recipes. Why are we learning it? We are learning these things because they will help us be successful in the kitchen and during labs. If we're able to measure things correctly and use the right tools, we're more likely to be able to successfully make a product. How will I know I learned it? You will know you learned it when you pass the kitchen basics test with a satisfactory score Monday 8/26: Kitchen Basics Powerpoint with Travel Journal Tuesday 8/27: Socrative quiz over kitchen basics Kitchen Equipment Goosechase Cultural Research #3: Measuring worksheet Wednesday 8/28: Prepare for the first lab with Cultural Experiment #1 Review for test (Vocab Bingo) Homework: Crossword Review of measuring terms Thursday 8/29: First Cultural Experiment (oatmeal munchies) Review how Experiment Went Review for test via 2nd socrative quiz if time Friday 8/30: First test over Kitchen Basics Culinary Continental Challenge (if earned) Visa Application for Greenland (Kitchen Safety)
