Students pick a career in hospitality or foodservice industry & research it & create presentation. 4/26: Activity 1: Students present their career presentations & take notes over each other’s presentations. Activity 2: Practice completing a job application; go over how to do it as a class . 4/27: Activity 1: Group activity: Google draw project dress for success. students create a google drawing of dress for success interview appropriate outfits (DO vs Don’t ). Activity 2: Begin working on program project; choosing a college program in Hotel/Restaurant management or culinary arts & researching it and creating a presentation. What are we learning?

Activity 1: “Make a burger” Teamwork activity (students are not allowed to talk during activity; teaches teamwork Activity 2: Chapter 8 Powerpoint with student note guide 4/10: Activity 1: Finish Chapter 8 PowerPoint with student note guide 4/11: Activity 1: Teamwork & Communication Activity (group designs menu & presents it to class in only 30 minutes, must utilize good teamwork to complete the difficult task; will have 10 minutes to present to class). 4/12: Activity 1: Lab day. Students get to pick one of recipes from menu they designed and make it in class; students will take turns being a “manager” vs an “employee” during the lab (switch every 10 minutes; students get to experience what it’s like to be a manager) 4/13: Activity 1: Writing a Resume & Cover letter PowerPoint Activity 2: Students begin working on writing their own Resume & cover letter What are we learning?
