This week we are finishing the unit on Culinary Math and studying for the final exam. Why are we learning it? We are learning these things because they will help us be successful not only at home when we cook, but also if we choose to make a career out of our culinary skills. How will we know we learned it? We will know that we learned it when we can price out a menu using the 3 different menu pricing methods as well as estimate the cost of a recipe and do well on the final exam. This week we are doing our gingerbread houses unit to practice our creativity. Why are we learning it? We are learning these things because they will help us be successful not only during labs, but also when we cook at home on our own. How will I know I learned it? You will know you learned it when you create an amazing gingerbread house.
